There are records of Boko Haram having abducted as many as 100 women and girls in one particular village. One woman, the mother of eight children, managed to survive a forced marriage to a Boko Haram fighter and escape to a refugee camp, where she eventually revealed the abduction to a group of Amnesty International activists. She recalled how she was beaten and raped by the Boko Haram fighters before being forced to have sex with her abductor.
In 2011, Amnesty International found that women and girls from seven communities in north-eastern Nigeria were forcibly abducted by armed groups. The report outlined the shocking levels of violence women and girls are subjected to in the hands of Boko Haram, including beatings, rape, forced marriages and pregnancy, as well as the abduction of their children. At least 4,000 women and girls have been abducted since 2009.
Boko Haram is a threat to all of us and the children they have abducted will be the victims of this atrocity for the rest of their lives. We have a responsibility to bring Boko Haram to justice, and to protect those children from further abuse. Amnesty International believes that ensuring the women and girls rescued by the Nigerian military are not returned to their captors or re-captured by Boko Haram is in the best interests of these women and girls and a critical step towards preventing further violence against them.
It is therefore imperative that such children who have been liberated by the armed forces are properly identified and protected. The group is making repeated demands for the immediate release of these children, and for their prompt and safe return to their families.
The MATLAB environment is based on the MathWorks MATLAB® Compiler, or MMC, which is a proprietary language developed by MathWorks to facilitate the building of applications. MMC understands the MATLAB language and various task APIs and provides efficient intermediate language compilers for compiling functions and scripts.
The MATLAB® Engine is the core of the MATLAB product. It compiles, executes, and interprets MATLAB scripts and programs, as well as runs the M-files and M-links created by the MMC. It also allows the exchange of data between MATLAB applications, the MathWorks M-files and M-links, and other programming languages, including C, C++, and Visual Basic. 827ec27edc
